Welcome to the internet site of the Slavic & Viking Group Nordelag!

 

'We are a group re-creating the colourful life of the peoples that were
living in the area of the Baltic Sea strands from the 10th to the first
half of the 11th centuries AD.

The majority of Nordelag's members live in the TriCity (Gdynia, Sopot,
Gdansk) and the surrounding areas. One of our teammates currently
resides in Torun, and one of Houshold's members represents us in Posen.

Our main aim is to produce the most faithful reconstruction possible of
the Slavic and the Scandinavian way of life, and culture, of the Baltic
area as well as that of their neighbours, the Balts. We also have a lot of
fun along the way!

We re-create combat displays with the weapons of the time (sword, spear,
axe etc), traditional craft and living history displays and also some of
the spiritual aspects of their daily lives.

Our group is a member of the ARMY OF JOMSBORG (JOMSBORGELAG), an
international organisation dedicated to the re-creation of our period and
one of the largest organisations of its type in the world'.

Every year we participate in many European events.
